At A Nanny for U we offer professional housekeeping services as another way to best serve our clients’ needs. We have developed a placement process that offers you much more than a clean home each week. We are different from other residential house cleaning services in that we identify and place a professional that will be the only person coming to your home on a regular basis. We strive to establish a personal, one-on-one relationship between you and your housekeeper. This creates trust, open communication, and ultimately satisfaction as you find all your cleaning needs being readily met.




Our Process

Consistent with our nanny and domestic household placement procedures, our housekeeping placement is no different – detailed, thorough, and client-specific. We are committed to finding you an employee that will establish longevity in your home and form a personal relationship with you and your family.

 

The first step is to schedule an in-depth conversation with one of our domestic experts to determine your household needs and create a comprehensive job description. Next, we search for qualified candidates that meet your requirements. Potential candidates are then interviewed and evaluated on their skills, experience, punctuality and presentation, all while keeping your needs in mind. Our trusted background checks include:

Comprehensive assessment of driving records for the past 5 years
Thorough criminal check in every state in which the candidate has lived
At least 3 detailed reference checks

 

All of our housekeeping professionals meet the following requirements:

  • 3 professional housekeeping references from non-relatives
  • At least 2 years experience in domestic service setting
  • Must have own car with full coverage auto insurance
  • Proof of legal US citizenship
  • Long term commitment required, at least 1 year
  • Must be a non-smoker
  • Must be over 18 years old
  • High school graduate

 

Once we have identified a candidate that we feel is a match, that housekeeper will come to your home for a “trial clean.” The trial clean is to ensure that you are completely satisfied with the housekeeper we have matched you with. For that visit you will only be responsible for paying the housekeeper’s hourly rate ($20-30 per hour) as we waive our placement fee for this visit. Our placement fee is then due within five days of a verbal offer to the candidate.

 

Fees/Guarantee
  • $200 initial registration fee to get started with our process
  • Placement fee of $1,000 minimum or 15% of the employee's gross annual salary
  • Housekeeper pay rates range from $20-$30 per hour (paid directly to the housekeeper) with a minimum of 4 hours per shift
